1. Kalki Subramaniam

The founding chief of Sahodari Foundation, Kalki Subramaniam is an entrepreneur and has worked tirelessly for transgender empowerment in India. An acclaimed poet and writer, she holds two masters degrees, one in journalism and mass communication and the other in international relations. She is an active rights campaigner and has recently made her acting debut with Narthagi, a film on the life of a transgender woman.
2. Rudrani Chettri

Delh-based Rudrani Chettri is a rights activist and heads Mitr Trust, a professional modelling agency that helps transgender models find work and recognition. The idea struck Chettri when she saw many young and beautiful transgender models, including her, being refused work because of large-scale social reluctance to accept them in the mainstream. Traditional modelling agencies were inimical to the idea, which spurred Chettri to open her own agency.
3. Padmini Prakash
